Canada Post driver assaulted in road rage incident

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver police are looking for witnesses after a Canada Post truck driver was assaulted in a road rage incident Tuesday night.
Constable Jana McGuinness says a Canada Post tractor trailer and a Honda Civic were travelling along Cambie when they were stopped near West 18th. “At some point during the time they were stopped, the drivers got out and as they approached each other, something escalated and it became very physical and Canada Post driver was assaulted quite seriously.”
She says the 55-year-old driver suffered cuts, bruises and scrapes to his face.
Thirty-one-year-old Richard Harding of Vancouver has been charged with assault. He will appear in court in January.
Vancouver police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the assault to give them a call at 604-717-3349 ext. 2291.
