Radioactive scare in Burnside

The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission is being called after a canister containing radioactive symbols was found in the Burnside Industrial Park Thursday morning.
Halifax firefighters say the canister, found in a parking lot, was examined by the hazardous materials team and it’s been determined it does not pose a health threat.
Fire spokesperson Dave Meldrum says officials are in communication with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission just to make sure the container is handled properly.
Meldrum is speculating it may have fallen off the back of a truck.
