Man in critical condition after assault in Vancouver

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver Police are investigating a serious assault that has sent a 31-year-old man to hospital with critical injuries.
Around 9:30 a.m. police were called to the area of West 4th Ave. and Blanca St. after reports of a man screaming and covered in blood. Officers arrived and found the victim in serious condition.
“He has undergone surgery and is in critical condition,” says Cst. Lindsey Houghton.
He adds it’s too soon to say whether a weapon was used or what the motive could have been. There is no suspect information to available at this time. Police don’t believe the attack was random.
