Dexter shuffles Cabinet

Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter increased his 12-member cabinet by two Tuesday.  MLA Dave Wilson is being made minister of a brand new department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.  

Speaker Charlie Parker resigned his post and has been named natural resources and energy minister, picking up portfolios once handled by John MacDonnell and Bill Estabrooks.

MacDonnell picks up the Service Nova Scotia and municipal relations files from Ramona Jennex, who becomes the new education minister.

Though Marilyn More lost the education portfolio, she retains the labour file and will now lead post-secondary education.
