Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement about an approaching snowstorm.
A low pressure system is tracking along the northeast U.S. coast and is expected to be over southwestern Nova Scotia by Friday evening.
The system will intensify as it gets closer and Environment Canada warns it could bring “significant” snow or rainfall amounts to parts of the province on Friday and into Saturday.
The track is still uncertain but it looks like the snow will be heaviest in Digby through Kings County and Colchester and Cumberland counties west of Truro.
Here in Halifax we’re expecting 5 cm of snow and up to 15 mm of rain.
