TERRACE (NEWS1130) – A little girl is in hospital after being attacked by two bull mastiffs near Terrace. It happened earlier this week when the four-year-old was out tobogganing with her family.
Corporal Sean Hall with Terrace RCMP explains, “She was near the enclosure where the two dogs were kept. Her arm went into the pen. One of the dogs got ahold of her arm and pulled her in a little bit further. Both of them bit her on the arm.”
Hall adds her injuries aren’t life threatening, but she has been transferred to a Vancouver hospital. “From what I understand, she’s doing well. She may have to undergo a bit more surgery in Vancouver.”
He tells us the family has been very cooperative and handed the dogs over to animal control. Both are set to be destroyed.
