Body found on Cape Breton trail identified

Police in Cape Breton have identified a body found on a wooded trail as that of a man missing since late last month.

Police say the remains of 53-year-old Allan Gregory Boudreau were identified by a family member Saturday.

They say relatives were looking for Boudreau and found his body just after 11 a.m. on a trail off the Union Highway in River Ryan near New Waterford.

Boudreau was last seen Feb. 21 at his home and was reported missing on March 3.

Police say an investigation is continuing and an autopsy will be done by the medical examiner to determine cause of death.
