Spryfield stabbing leads to six arrests

They are being called ‘bonus’ arrests.  Police were investigating a stabbing on Lavender Walk in Spryfield Tuesday morning.  A 19 year-old had taken a knife in the back and was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As police were searching for stabbing suspects, they noticed some suspicious folks in the 300 block of Herring Cove Road.  A minor chase ensued and the suspects ended up in a home on Abram’s Way.  There police arrested three people and seized three fire arms.

The catch is, however, none of those three suspects was in any way related to the initial stabbing being investigated.

Police kept following leads in the stabbing and were able to net another three suspects.  Turns out those three were known to the victim and police are emphasizing it was not a random crime.
