Cape Breton students say college course is unsafe

A group of students in a trades program at a community college in Cape Breton is alleging their truck and transport course is unsafe.

The entire class at the Marconi Campus signed their names to a letter addressed to Nova Scotia Community College acting president Don Bureaux on Monday.

They told the Cape Breton Post that for months they have had to endure delays in moving into a new shop, a lack of tools and broken equipment.

The college president says a meeting has been arranged to address the students’ concerns.
