Brush fires already flaring up in Cape Breton

A fire official in Cape Breton says the municipality has already dealt with at least 200 grass and bush fires this year.
Deputy fire Chief Jim Driscoll says the problem can prove costly for the entire region.
In addition to loss of property, Driscoll says there is the ever-present danger to firefighters, the majority of whom are volunteers.
Driscoll also says that when firefighters and equipment are dispatched to grass and bush fires, other areas are left unprotected.
