Four teens found themselves on the wrong side of the law in two separate attacks over the weekend.
A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl are in custody and will be attending court at a later date to face charges of robbery after a 21 year old female was walking in the area of Prince Albert Rd and Ochterloney St was beaten and robbed.
Police say the victim was walking past a group of young people at about 1 o’clock Sunday morning when they started to yell at her about her hand bag and what she had inside of it.
Two girls from the group then ran up to the victim and asked her for cigarettes.
As the victim was taking a cigarette out of her hand bag, the 2 females began assaulting her, throwing her to the ground and removing all the cigarettes from her bag.
The victim got up and ran home to call police and Halifax Regional Police were able to make the two arrests.
Meanwhile, two male teens have been arrested in relation to an attack on Mumford Road at around 10 o’clock Saturday night.
Halifax Regional Police say they responded to a call of a group of youths assaulting a man near the bus stop at 6960 Mumford Road.
They say it appears the 57-year-old victim had been sprayed in the face with some type of sensory irritant.
A short distance from the scene two suspects were arrested for the incident.
A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old will appear in court at a later date to face charges of assault with a weapon.
The victim did not require any hospital treatment.
