Police hunt for bank robber

Halifax police report a bank robber struck a Canada Trust as people were starting their Saturday errands.
They say officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at approximately 8:15 Saturday morning at the Canada Trust at 1475 Bedford Highway, where it was reported a man entered the bank and demanded money from staff.
The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank on foot.
He’s described as a white male, 5’8″-5’9″, 160 to 170 lbs wearing a black zip up jacket, possibly fleece, and a black ball cap.
He told staff he had a weapon, but none was seen.
No one was injured during the incident.
