The head of emergency medicine for the Capital District Health Authority is resigning.
Dr. John Ross stepped down in September, saying he was frustrated with overcrowding in emergency rooms.
Now his replacement, Dr. Phillip Yoon, says he’ll resign by the end of the year.
In a letter to colleagues, the CBC reports Yoon says his decision is complex – but mentions “irreconciliable differences” between himself and the Department of Health and Wellness.
Yoon writes that they’ve overcome some challenges, but still have “divergent” visions about how to sustain good clinical care.
