The second of two brothers charged in connection with the murder of a Dartmouth teenager has pleaded guilty.
Steven Gowen, 21, pleaded guilty Thursday to being an accessory after the fact in the murder of 18-year-old Dillon Jewett.
His brother, Kyle Gowen, 23, pleaded guilty to second degree murder on Tuesday. He’d been charged with first degree murder. A second degree murder charge carries an automatic life sentence. Gowen will be eligible for parole in 15 years.
Jewett’s ex-girlfriend Amanda Greene is also charged in the case and has an appearance scheduled for Friday.
Jewett’s body was found last October outside a quarry on Beaverbank Road in East Uniacke. Police say he had been shot to death.
