Canucks have Game 6 swagger

BOSTON, MA. (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks will look to do something they haven’t been able to do yet in this series and that’s play well in Boston.
News1130 Sports Director Ann Schmaltz is in Boston and has been travelling with the team throughout the post-season.
She expects a better road performance and says the team has put Games 3 and 4 behind them. “They’ve got a swagger about them and they understand the opportunity that lies ahead of them. They know it’s a big game. They know they’re a good team and they want to go out there and play their best hockey.”
Everyone following this series has noticed a lot of chirping going on between both goalies. But Schmaltz adds fans shouldn’t be worried that Roberto Luongo will be phased for tonight’s match-up.
“He said, ‘It’s the Stanley Cup Final [and] everything gets blown out of proportion.’ He doesn’t care about it at all and I think both of them know that that’s done with. They’ve had their say and it’s a big game for both [Tim] Thomas and [Roberto] Luongo.”
The Boston Bruins will come out flying in front of a jacked up crowd and that makes getting the first goal that much more crucial.
“We’ve seen it all series long, the team that scores first goes on to win the game. Boston wants to get the first goal because they want to set the tone and they want to take it to the Canucks. For Vancouver, if the Canucks can score first they’ll have a chance to take the crowd right out of it and that’s going to be a huge advantage for them.”
