Demolition is on hold again at Queen Elizabeth High School.
The site at Young and Robie was supposed to have been cleared six months ago.
Cathy MacIsaac at the Transportation Department says it became clear the province had to end its contract with Demolition Resources Limited.
“Work has stopped,” she says. “The next step will be we’re assessing the various options for completing the project, how best to get someone else in to do the job.”
The province hopes to get it done on budget, even if it’s far too late to have it done on time.
