Transit passenger assaulted, robbed in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police have two teenaged girls in custody following a violent robbery on a Metro Transit bus.
Staff Sgt. Barb Saunders tells News95.7 it happened on Pleasant Street in Dartmouth around 8 p.m. Sunday.
“There was a woman who had her purse stolen by three suspects,” she said. “During the robbery she was struck in the head.”
Saunders says the woman wasn’t hurt in the attack. The three girls left the bus on foot, and Metro Transit alerted police.
Two suspects, aged 14 and 15 years old, were arrested nearby.
They’re due to appear in court this morning, facing charges of robbery and violating court orders.
