Birch Cove Beach closed for water testing

A city beach is closed indefinitely after swimmers got sick.

Birch Cove Beach on Dartmouth’s Lake Banook was ordered closed after lifeguards and swimmers reported “flu-like symptoms.”

Staff are testing the water and should report back within the week.
