A Dartmouth man who was attacked and beaten with a hammer says he could have been killed.
The 27-year-old man and his sister were walking home early Saturday morning along Woodland Avenue when a car drove by and someone yelled at them.
The car came back and four men jumped out, surrounded the pair and started the attack.
The victim tells the Herald it came out of nowhere and if they’d stuck around once he fell down, he’d probably be dead.
However, the attackers ran off when his stepsister started yelling for help.
The man suffered a black eye and stitches in his lip.
Police are still looking for suspects.
