After 0-2 start, BC Lions shuffle the deck for game three

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Lions head coach Wally Buono is shaking things up heading into his team’s game this Saturday in Edmonton.
After the BC Lions dropped their record to 0-2 with a loss at home to Calgary over the weekend, Buono promised changes and yesterday at practice, his changes were evident.
Defensive back Davis Sanchez, a 36-year-old veteran, was at safety, replacing the injured J.R LaRose. The 11-year CFL veteran Sanchez has never played the safety position.
As expected, David Hyland will replace the injured Stanley Franks in the secondary. Franks is looking at season-ending knee surgery in two weeks.
On offence, quarterback Travis Lulay will have a more experienced receiving core to work with in Edmonton as Bouno has inserted veterans Kamau Peterson and Paris Jackson into the lineup. Peterson will make his Lions debut after signing as a free agent in the off-season and Jackson plays his first game of the season.
The Lions are looking for their first win of the season while the Eskimos sit in first place in the CFL’s Western Division.
