Nova Scotia sees increased unemployment rate

According to new figures from Statistics Canada, Nova Scotia saw the nation’s biggest percentage increase in unemployment between June and July.
The agency is reporting that the province’s unemployment rate stood at 9.5 percent in July, up from 8.7 percent in June.
The 5,000 full-time jobs that were lost were partially offset by the 3,700 part-time jobs that were created, continuing the trend of more part-time jobs being available, and fewer full-time ones.
