A local RCMP officer is learning about practicing what you preach – the hard way.
The Mountie was one of about 100 people caught in a speeding crackdown last week approaching the Bedford-Sackville interchange.
Cpl. Blair Pelly tells the Herald it goes to show no one is above the law.
Police were set up where traffic comes in from the 101 and the speed limit drops to 70 km/hr. The highest speed was recorded at 123 km/h.
That section was targeted after a recent car-pedestrian crash.
Most tickets were issued to drivers who are from the area and likely drive that route often.
