Mystery box found at QE High

The province is planning a public opening of what appears to be a time capsule found last week at the site of the former Queen Elizabeth High School.

The Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Renewal says it may offer Nova Scotians a glimpse into life during the Second World War.  It’s believed the box is from 1941, when the building’s corner stone was orignially placed.

It is sealed, copper and is about 9 x 11 inches.  It’s three inches deep.

The search is now on for anyone who graduated from QEH during the early 40s to contact officials at (902) 424-0849.
