Arceneaux still standing at Vikings camp

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN (NEWS 1130) – Former BC Lions receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux is still in contention for a gig at the Minnesota training camp.  He is wearing number 16 for the Vikings.

Arceneaux has caught a pass in each of the Vikings three pre-season games. His longest was a 43-yard reception during last Saturdays 20-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.  The former Leo liked the catch so much, it is now his profile photo on his Twitter account.

He had 67 catches with five touchdowns and just over 1,100 yards receiving in 2010 for the Lions.

There are nine wide receivers still remaining at the NFL training camp.  Minnesota cut 10 players today and have 80 players remaining on their roster. The team must get down to 53 players by Sunday.

Minnesota’s final game of the pre-season is Thursday when they host the Houston Texans.
