RCMP looking for new tips in cold case

The RCMP’s Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit is turning to the public for help solving the murder of Sadie Rogers on the 30th anniversary of her death.
Neighbours last saw Rogers, 80, on Saturday, Sept. 16, 1981 and police found her body the following Friday in her home on Cordova Street in Amherst.
Cons. Dal Hutchinson says they have exhausted all leads.
“The RCMP did receive a number of tips from the public in the days following the discovery of Sadie’s body,” Hutchinson told News 95.7.
“We’re hoping someone out there has some information,” he said. “Whether it’s small, or as irrelevant as they think it may be, that information may be the piece to put the puzzle together and solve this crime.”
Police have not disclosed how Rogers was killed, although her family say she was stabbed.
The Nova Scotia Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program is offering $150,000 for information in this crime.
