N.S. gas prices expected to fall two to three cents

The temperature isn’t the only thing set to fall tonight.

News 95.7 is predicting regulated gas prices will take a tumble of two to three cents a litre.

Regular self-serve is currently selling for $1.285 in metro.

Wholesale prices were on a bit of a roller-coaster ride this week, but the NYMEX spot price fell about ten cents Wednesday, when the Utility and Review Board sets Nova Scotia’s regulated gas prices.

The loonie has also continued a steady climb over the last week and hit parity at one point.

In New Brunswick, prices fell by just over three cents a litre overnight to a new maximum of $1.262. Diesel prices edged down by less than half a penny.

In Toronto, unregulated prices fell about two cents a litre at midnight. Gas is selling for about $1.20 in most places.
