Nova Scotia RCMP says the killing of Edward Phalen of Trenton outside his home this week was not a random act of violence.
However, police spokeswoman Sergeant Brigdit Leger will not elaborate on what led investigators to that conclusion.
There have been no arrests in the case.
Anyone who may have seen someone fleeing the scene Tuesday is asked to contact the R-C-M-P or Crime Stoppers
