The parents of a missing Pictou County woman will speak to the public today, for the first time since her disappearance.
Amber Kirwan, 19, hasn’t been seen since October 9, when she parted with friends after a night out.
More than three weeks of searching woods and the river near her Pictou Landing home have turned up no sign of the young woman.
Her parents will speak to reporters today outside New Glasgow Police headquarters.
Cst. Ken MacDonald tells Metro Halifax Donald and Marjorie Kirwan will be appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
The investigation is still considered a missing person’s case and a reward has been offered for any information on Amber’s whereabouts.
