Late fall temperatures approaching record highs

The thermometer is deceiving this week — it’s mid-November, but temperatures make it look like we’re getting a second spring.
The record-high temperature for November 15 is 17 degrees and today’s guaranteed high is set at 15.
News 95.7 meterologist Richard Zurawski says it appears the shift to warm temperatures is part of a general “season creep.”
“It looks like we’re starting to push the boundaries of fall back a couple of weeks,” he said. “That means less winter – and on the spring side, we’re noticing that spring is intruding a couple of weeks earlier than normal, so that means less winter all around.”
if you’re hoping the mild weather rolls right into winter, Zurawski says you may be in luck.
“Right now the long-term outlook calls for a milder winter, but a wetter than normal winter, so we’re looking at pretty much normal conditions,” said Zurawski. “The next couple of weeks do look mild and I think that trend is going to hold up, and I’m hoping it’s going to hold up, although I’d like to do some skiing as well.”
The current stretch of warmth can be credited – or blamed – on a low-pressure system that’s bringing moisture and warm air from the south.
