Police are asking for the public’s help tracing the last steps of a murdered woman whose body was found in Shubie Park.
The woman has been identified as Christina Kathleen Cline, 27, who also used the name Christine.
Police spokeswoman Theresa Rath tells News 95.7 a man walking in the park in the area of Vivian’s Way found the body just after 10:30 Saturday morning, called police and then took them to the body.
She says autopsy results and other information gathered to date helped classify the case as a homicide.
Rath says police are now focused on what happened to the young woman in the hours before her death.
Investigators have located Cline’s minivan, and Rath says it may be critical to the investigation.
“Her body was found in Shubie Park and her vehicle was found in a residential area of Dartmouth,” she said. “We’re really trying to piece together where she might have been and who she may have been with on Friday night.”
Rath says it’s not clear yet whether Cline died at the park or was moved there after her death.
“Our investigators are asking that anyone who has information about this incident, or about Christina’s whereabouts anytime on Friday to contact major crime investigators,” she said.
Anyone with information can reach police at 490-5333 or Crime Stoppers
