Grey Cup Festival begins today

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Football week in Vancouver gets official today with the kickoff of the Grey Cup Festival.

The Gibson’s Finest CFL Player Awards are at 7 o’clock tonight. News1130 Sports’ Ann Schmaltz will provide full coverage.

Over the next few days, there are team parties, family zones, StreetFests, beer gardens, player appearances, and of course, the Grey Cup Parade on Saturday morning.

Some events are free, while others are ticketed. The big-ticket event is the Grey Cup on Sunday between the BC Lions and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Some single seat tickets are still available; the cheapest are more than $350.
