Cape Breton police concerned about “sexting”

Police in Cape Breton are concerned about students sending nude photos of themselves to others through texts and emails.

Authorities say over 50 students in the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board have shared hundreds of images – some of them involving explicit sex acts.

Police Chief Peter McIsaac says young people may not realize that what they are doing is a crime.

He says any nude or explicit image of someone under the age of 18 is considered child pornography.
