RCMP praise citizens for help nabbing suspects

Average Joes are getting a pat on the back from RCMP for helping officers serve and protect over the last few days.
On Tuesday afternoon, officers in Bedford noticed a man checking the doors and windows of a home on Giles street. They followed him to a home on Terradore Crescent in Kingswood where they watched him allegedly try to force a window open.
The man was arrested and now faces charges related to two other break and enters in the neighbourhood that happened in late November.
Investigators say they were able to locate a suspect in those crimes because of a key piece of information that came from a member of the public.
Earlier in the week, a tip from an alert driver may have helped prevent a potential tragedy on a provincial highway.
The citizen called 911 about an erratic driver on the 103 in the Chester area Monday morning.
Officers caught up with the vehicle, travelling on the wrong side of the road, and arrested the female driver.
She was allegedly driving under the influence of a drug at the time and is now facing charges.
RCMP say they were able to prevent a potentially serious accident from happening because of the attentive motorist who called in the tip.
Police are encouraging everyone to alert police as soon as they see problems on the road or suspicious activity anywhere in their neighbourhood.
