Man wanted for attempted robbery arrested

A man wanted by police in connection to an attempted robbery at the Needs Convenience Store on Queen Street in Halifax a week ago has been arrested.

At around 6pm Saturday night, police got a call that the suspect was at a business on Barrington Street.

Responding officers arrested a 26-year-old Halifax man without incident.

He’ll appear in court Monday on robbery charges.

On February 19th, just before 8am, a man entered the Needs Store with a knife and demanded cash.

The employee refused, called police, and the suspect took off.
