Two weeks until Dalhousie faculty in legal strike position

Faculty at Nova Scotia’s largest university will be in a legal strike position in two weeks.

Dalhousie University spokesman Charles Crosby announced Friday that the conciliator who had been trying to help the two sides reach an agreement has filed his report.

The association that represents 870 professors, instructors, librarians and counsellors voted 83 per cent in favour of striking about a week ago.

Pension issues have been a stumbling block for the two sides.
