Temperatures hit record high for seventh day

Make it seven straight days of record-setting temperatures in Halifax.
Early Friday morning, the temperature at Halifax Stanfield International Airport was at 15 C.
News 95.7 meteorologist Richard Zurawski says that’s the warmest temperature on record for this date.
“The old record was set back in 2007 and it was just 13.6 degrees,” he said. “I’ve never seen so many records on so many consecutive days.”
Zurawski says this will be the last hot day for a while, as temperatures fall back to single-digits this weekend and more seasonal values next week.
He says this has been an abnormally warm, dry winter, and so far the four-day old spring season has seen temperatures up to 25 degrees higher than usual.
