Search for missing fisherman could resume today

The Mounties will decide today whether to resume the search for a missing fisherman in the Musquodoboit Harbour area.

The search for Brent Walton, 33, had to be called off on Sunday and Monday because of bad weather.

Walton’s boat overturned on Level Spot Lake around noon Friday. A friend made it to shore but there’s been no sign of Walton.

RCMP Sgt. Brigdit Leger says so far, it’s still considered a missing person’s case, and the investigation is focused on the lake.

She tells the Herald it’s hard to say when the search will resume.
