Man who crashed car into Lake Banook identified

A man who died when his car plunged into Lake Banook Friday has been identified as 30-year-old Brian Andrew Rozee of Dartmouth.

Just after midnight Friday morning, a car travelling eastbound on Prince Albert Road crossed the centerline, struck the curb and a power pole and then plunged into the lake.

A person, who witnessed the crash jumped into the water, broke the passenger window and pulled the driver out, but Rozee was pronounced dead at hospital a short time later.

Police are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
