A body has been found at a landfill in Timberlea.
The Otter Lake Landfill has been closed since around 8 am when police were called about the discovery of a man’s body on the property.
RCMP say the body was found at the front-end processor facility. The halifax.ca web site says that’s “where garbage arrives and bags are opened and inspected. It consists of a system of conveyors, bag breaker, sorting platforms and mechanical screening operations. The FEP allows for identification and removal of material that should not be going to landfill.”
Police are investigating to identify the man and learn the cause of death.
