It seems there was a lot of bad blood between the 18-year-old accused of shooting two men on the weekend and his intended target.
Decoda Levon White faces two counts of attempted murder and several weapons charges related to Saturday’s shooting in Fairview.
The shooting injured a military police officer and Kale Leonard Gabriel, 23.
The Herald quotes court documents that show Gabriel was charged in August 2010 with assaulting and harassing White’s mother.
The charges came a month after the murder of Ms. White’s 21-year-old son in Mulgrave Park, which is still unsolved.
The charges against Gabriel were dropped in February 2011, after he signed a peace bond prohibiting contact with the White family.
Gabriel lives on Symonds street in Dartmouth, the scene of a noon-hour drive-by shooting on March 26.
Several shots were fired but no one was hurt.
