Gas, diesel prices fall below $1.30 barrier

Gas prices have taken another tumble, as predicted by News 95.7.

Regular self-serve is selling for $1.295 in metro this morning, the first time since January we’ve seen prices below $1.30.

It’s a drop of 3.3 cents a litre – but will save you less than $2 on a 50-litre fillup.

Diesel prices fell nearly five cents a litre to $1.277 in metro.

At this time last year, we were paying $1.32 for gas and $1.21 for diesel. Oil was selling for $99.65 U.S. a barrel, compared to Thursday’s close of $97.08.
