Regulations create problems for wind mill developers

Changing regulations are causing big problems for wind mill developers in Nova Scotia.

Companies say municipal regulations are constantly changing, making it nearly impossible to get projects up and running in some jurisdictions.

In one instance a county approved a wind energy bylaw so a developer could build, only to rescind the bylaw before another developer could because locals weren’t happy.

The premier says a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work and it’s best to let the municipalities make their own decisions, even if those decisions continue to change.
