Tantallon RCMP have located a Kingswood woman who’s been missing since last night in the Hammonds Plains area.
Leanne Lessard, 21, left her Kingswood Drive home on foot around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to take a walk in the woods.
She was located just before 7 a.m. Thursday. There are no details yet about what condition Lessard is in, or how she was found.
“Lessard is not familiar with the area,” said Cpl. John Stoddart, in a media release.
Searchers were requesting that local residents check their properties and out-buildings in the event she became lost and sought shelter.
The search was concentrated in and around a logging road at the end of Anahid Drive. It’s an area common for hiking with a trail known as Blue Mountain that runs off the logging road.
