Officers from the Internet Child Exploitation Unit have arrested and charged 32-year old Luke Freeman Morrison of Halifax after he allegedly was found in possession of child pornography.
The arrest came after a search at an apartment in the 6000 block of Lady Hammond Road at 6 a.m. Friday morning, where computer equipment was seized.
Constable Brian Palmeter tells News 95.7 there’s nothing to suggest Morrison took the photographs.
“Investigators will have to go through all the evidence to see if we can make that determination, but at this point there’s no indication that any of the children are local, and this does appear at this point to be all via the Internet,” he explains.
Morrison faces three charges of accessing, possessing and distributing child pornography.
He’ll appear in court on Oct. 31.
