RCMP investigators say they’ve identified the person whose skull bone was found in Middle Sackville in June 2011. They have identified the remains as those of Crystal Dawn Jack of Halifax.
Jack was reported missing on July 23rd, 1997 after leaving her Agricola Street home. She was 30 years-old at the time of her disappearance. Police say they think she met with foul play and they are now asking for anyone with information to come forward.
“Her disappearance was suspicious in nature,” says RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae. “So, it is still an open case which we always put the reach out to the public. If you have any information, the major crime team would certainly be interested in looking at that information.”
Her case was added to the Nova Scotia Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes in February 2007.
The skull bone was found by land surveyors in the woods near the 3300 block of Sackville Drive in June 2011.
