The Nova Scotia government says work can resume on the removal of a shipwreck off the coast of Cape Breton.
The province’s Department of Labour has lifted the stop-work order on the salvage of the M-V Miner.
Premier Darrell Dexter says the order was lifted after the salvage company – Bennington Group of New York – submitted safety plans that were approved Monday by department officials.
The premier says the approval means work can resume at the site as soon as the weather improves.
However, the premier says the salvage company will have to submit additional engineering plans before the ship’s hull can be dismantled.
