IWK cancels surgeries due to power outage, generator failure

A power loss and generator failure at the IWK Health Center has forced the cancellation of elective surgeries and non-urgent appointments. The IWK says it will be providing urgent and emergent services only for the rest of today. Due to limited elevators, visitors are asked to delay visits.

Patients and families requiring further information about their elective surgeries or non-urgent appointments should call the number provided to them on their appointment letter.
