Snow wasn’t the only thing that fell overnight.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board decided to drop the price of gas 2.4 cents a litre. Regular self-serve is selling for $1.24.4 a litre in Metro Halifax.
That means you’ll save $1.20 on a 50-litre fill-up.
Diesel also fell 1.2 cents a litre to $1.31.6.
Last year, gas was about four cents cheaper at $1.20.5, while diesel cost about a cent and a half less at $1.30.6.
Oil was $100 U.S. a barrel last year, about $12 higher than yesterday’s close of $88.07 U.S.
