Witnesses sought after cyclist struck in Dartmouth

Police want to find a vehicle that hit a cyclist this week in Dartmouth.
It happened at 4:45 pm on Monday, June 24. Southbound traffic on Caledonia Road was backed up following an earlier fatal crash on Main Street.
A 58-year-old man driving his bike south on Caledonia was hit by a car making a right turn in a parking lot at 30 Caledonia Road.
The man was thrown from his bike and onto the pavement. The driver hopped out and helped but left without leaving any information.
The cyclist was treated in hospital and police were then called.
Investigators say the car involved is an older-model silver two-door Pontiac. the driver was a white man his late 20s, 5’9″, 170 pounds with a light brown beard. He was wearing a red and white ball cap.
