Heat records break for a fourth consecutive day

You may feel it but you may not believe it, but today is day four of heat records being smashed in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Our meteorologist Richard Zurawski says with a high set at 32 degrees in Halifax, we’re going to break a record from the 1990’s.

“Make sure you stay cool!” said Zurawski. “Don’t leave your kids in the car, your dog in the car, enjoy an air conditioned mall or settle in the back yard and enjoy the drone of the bugs!”

Zurawski says it’s very unusual to break record highs in four consecutive days, especially in July.

The humid heat will taper off a bit later this week.
